Moonlight Rest is a self-contained villa located in Moonlight Flat which is approximately 5 minutes drive from the well known town of Castlemaine. Castlemaine is a small city in Victoria, Australia, in the Goldfields region about 120 kilometres northwest by road from Melbourne and about 40 kilometres from Bendigo.

Castlemaine is the perfect place to get away and unwind for a couple of days or a couple of weeks. Within only an hour and a half from Melbourne we are on the doorstep of the Goldfields. Moonlight Rest is the perfect place to explore Victoria’s North-West.
Moonlight Flat is a beautiful natural setting surrounded by giant gumtrees and plenty of birdlife and kangaroos. You can rest and relax in the swing seat which faces the garden area and observe the birds at play. Whilst we are not in the centre of town, we do have the benefit of guests having the ability to have a peaceful stay in a bushland setting and enjoying the sounds of nature at night.
Our Villa has a private entrance and is a cosy get away which is perfect for singles travelling for work or leisure, a romantic weekend away or a mid-week escape for two friends. The Villa features a king size bed (that can be split into 2 king single beds and a cedar barrel sauna to relax and rejuvenate after a day of work, cycling/walking or sightseeing at the surrounding towns.
